Dr. Alex Farnoosh Has Impeccable Credentials

Dr. Farnoosh is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where he earned his M.S. degree and specialty certificate in Periodontology in 1974 and a Ph.D. in Pathology in 1978. He has taught at the University of Southern California (USC) since 1981, where he has held the title of Director of Doctoral and Post Doctoral courses. He also served as admissions chairman for the School of Dentistry. He was promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in 1988 and subsequently to Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology.

Hatton Award and by the American Academy of Periodontology for the Balint Orban Prize. He served as the American Association of Dental Research’s Chairman of Scientific Programs and has lectured nationally and internationally.
For several years, Dr. Farnoosh has been included in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists, published by the recent Consumer’s Research Council of America. Diplomates are required to maintain certification as both a dentist and periodontist after at least two years of postdoctoral study focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of periodontal diseases.
